Dark Days Indeed

There was no joy in Montgomeryville...
North Penn's varsity football squad went down with a whimper against Neshaminy (31-7) on Saturday and the JV followed suit this afternoon (30-12). The game against hapless (and winless) Truman on Friday night should help morale, but doesn't reveal much about how the Nov. 2 game against Central Bucks South will go. Calpreps projects a 50-0 win against Truman at Crawford Stadium, and a 28-21 North Penn win at CB South. But Calpreps also projected a Neshaminy win at CB South, and we all know how wrong that proved to be. The new rankings reflecting the North Penn loss aren't out yet, so we have a day or two to wait and see how far the fall was. Of course, playoff seedings are more important than rankings, and more importantly, most teams that win the state go undefeated.

On another note, has anyone else noticed the similarity in the refrain's of Genesis' "Land of Confusion"

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and lets start trying
To make it a place worth living in.

and the Callings' "Our Lives?"

Cause these are the days worth living
These are the years we're given
And these are the moments
These are the times
Let's make the best out of our lives

This has been bugging me for several months now (obligatory straight line here). Also, don't you hate it when you make little typo's in blog posts that completely blow up your cultural references?
