SCORELESS TIE!!!!!

From Local schedule for September 21 - Intelligencer Sports
BOYS SOCCER
Pennridge 0, North Penn 0 (2 OT)

BTW, an athletic contest where neither team scores is not the reason I named this blog Scoreless Tie, but the real reason only makes any sense to me. And it doesn't even make a whole lot of sense to me, so I won't try to explain.

Thursday, September 20, 2007
NFHS | National High School Sports Record Book - Longest field goal in PA was 64 yards in 2003. See page 81 on football part 1 listing.

North Penn 38 - Pennridge 21

Not the Knights best football of the year, but they got the job done. The most exciting part of the game was Brandon McManus North Penn record 54 yard field goal. North Penn took a 14 point lead in the 1st quarter, and Pennridge could never get all the way back in the game. The Rams got to within 10 with under 3 minutes left, but the North Penn 2nd string was able to punch in another TD to reach the final score.

As I commented on Kevin Cooney's Blitz column from Sept. 20, everyone will be gunning for North Penn the rest of the way.

The big game coming up looks like it will be Neshaminy at CB South on October 12. This will set up the North Penn at Neshaminy game on October 20 and maybe the regular season finale, North Penn at CB South on November 2.

The High School Football Huddle - Nice high school football blog. I found it using google blog search. Google blog search must be one of the most frustrating tools on the internet. It is filled with spam blogs, yet no matter how much I blog about North Penn football, this blog never shows up.

North Penn 17 St. Joe's Prep 7

Sometimes predictions & polls aren't worth the paper they are printed on. The North Penn Knights came out sharp in their first football game of the 2007 season and showed that they were able to successfully fill the 17 starting slots of last year's seniors. Here's the Inquirer's take on the NP-Prep game. Kevin Cooney's failed attempt at pre-game analysis.

Some stuff from a busy Saturday

Well, MusicMatch Jukebox is history. I am using RealPlayer right now, but I don't know what I will do in the long run. I am still looking to copy files off of the dead laptop hard drive. Here's a cheap 2.5 to 3.5 hard drive adapter at Amazon. I also found an article about how to get data from a laptop drive. I am still a little confused about the power supply for the laptop drive. I don't know if my USB to HD converter is going to work or not.
